Human First, Always

At PGLS, we believe that true success is measured not only by business achievements but also by the positive impact we create in the communities we serve. Through the PGLS Cares Foundation, our philanthropic arm, we are dedicated to promoting equity, economic development, and safety by supporting vulnerable and underserved populations.

Our Commitment to Giving Back

Led by our CEO, Mohamed Hussein, PGLS Cares is deeply committed to making a real difference. Our efforts focus on providing support to immigrants and refugees, children and youth, and other marginalized communities. Whether through volunteering, grantmaking, or partnerships with organizations that share our values, every initiative is driven by the belief that every person deserves access, opportunity, and protection.

Philanthropy with Purpose

At PGLS, we go beyond the typical corporate social responsibility. Our philanthropy is grounded in a genuine love for humanity, inspired by Mohamed’s personal journey as the son of immigrants. His story motivates us to give back to the communities that have supported us, and his passion for service is woven into everything we do. From his volunteer work to his role as a youth mentor and nonprofit board chair, Mohamed’s leadership is a living example of our commitment.

Our Impact: What We Do

Volunteering

We promote a culture of volunteerism at PGLS through paid Volunteer Time Off (VTO), team initiatives, and celebrating the independent efforts of our team members. Through platforms like Uncommon Giving, our team members share their favorite causes and direct corporate dollars to support these efforts.

Industry Programs

As part of our commitment to the global language services sector, we proudly support CLEAR Global, investing in non-profit translation services that break down language barriers worldwide. We also sponsor Piedmont Academy, our language interpretation training program that provides scholarships to aspiring linguists.

Impact Partnerships

We extend our expertise and technology to help nonprofit partners in their missions. We grant to innovative and values-aligned programs, and our employees regularly volunteer at events, like with Service and Learning Together (SaLT), a social service organization that serves the communities supported by our clients.

"SaLT provides support to those in our community who really need it. But more than that, it’s a student-led organization that empowers the leaders of tomorrow to play a role in shaping their community while developing skills that will serve them well throughout their lifetime."
